I have many women in my family, from cousins, sisters and aunts to nieces, sisters in law, and also friends. So as you can imagine, I've been to a lot of different baby showers. But the one I went to recently stands out as absolutely brilliant and gorgeous.

Since they used completely new ideas for baby showers, they made something truly special. For example, while they brought gifts for the baby, they also brought gifts just for the mother. I thought that was very nice, because the mother was able to get some well deserved pampering!

One of their greatest ideas for baby showers was to make individual tiny cakes for each guest rather than one large cake. The little cakes were made part of a game. There was a little plastic baby in one of them. A prize went to whoever found the baby.

They used many different designs for the cakes, which made it all the more fun and interesting. But one of my very favorite things about the baby shower was the decorations. See, the mother to be chose not to find out the sex of her baby, so they couldn't decorate the usual pink or blue.

Instead, they decorated the entire room with cute sayings such as, "Mommy's Little Princess or Daddy's Little Quarterback?" There were a bunch of beautiful posters printed out with sayings like that. They even featured princess crowns and footballs!

This baby shower was one of the best that I've been to, and they had some of the best ideas for baby showers that I've seen. If you need some new ideas, try using some of the ones from this party. Most importantly, have lots of fun celebrating the upcoming arrival of your new bundle of joy!
