What Microdermabrasion Can Do for You

by Sara Kitch

Acne scars, fine wrinkles and sunspots are all skin conditions that can happen to anyone. It is difficult to want to accept any of these, which is where there comes good news. In the effort to improve and eliminate these skin conditions, you should try microdermabrasion treatments.

What Are Microdermabrasion Treatments?

Microdermabrasion is the process of using light abrasion to partially or completely remove the stratum corneum, the dead outermost surface of the skin. It can be performed in day spas, doctors' offices, or in the privacy of your own home

The Three Different Microdermabrasion Application Techniques

Crystal Microdermabrasion

The traditional treatment of choice is crystal microdermabrasion. In this procedure a special hand held device blows a high speed flow of aluminum oxide microcrystals onto the outermost layer of the skin. These microcrystals are what cause the exfoliation process. At the same time another part of the device is vacuuming dead skin cells, dirt and used crystals. There are two strengths that make this effective. The crystals' irregular shape makes them an effective abrader while its aluminum oxide component is the second hardest mineral after diamonds.

Diamond Microdermabrasion

Diamond microdermabrasion uses a disposable or diamond tipped wand to abrade the outermost layer of the skin. The advantage for this method is it takes out the possibility of free flying crystals inadvertently hitting and damaging sensitive areas of the face. The tipped wands come in different shapes and sizes to make a more precise application to needed parts of the face. The disadvantage to both crystal and diamond microdermabrasion is they require at minimum 6 to 12 sessions in a medical clinic or a day spa. These are hour long sessions costing hundreds of dollars. Luckily there exists a more cost effective microdermabrasion treatment.

At Home Microdermabrasion

Skin resurfacing products can now add to their list a microdermabrasion cream that can be used from home. It is easy to apply and it produces long lasting results, in particular if the cream is made of all natural ingredients. A microdermabrasion cream abrades the surface of the skin using tiny particles to leave a 'polished' look to your face after its application. It works by incrementally removing a scarred or discolored skin surface with repeated use. The microdermabrasion results are twofold. The surface skin cell turnover is enhanced and it causes the self replenishment of collagen and elastin to replace the older and drier layer of the skin.

BIOSKINEXFOL is a microdermabrasion skin cream that has natural biological skin renewal activators that stimulate new skin cells that replace the old and damaged. It contains the special rejuvenating ingredient of snail serum (Helix Aspersa Muller) which has molecules, structures and cells very similar to human skin. This makes it very compatible to replicate its healing effects. It is BIOSKINEXFOL that works so well as a microdermabrasion cream because it can scrub away the top layered skin surface as well as regenerate healthy skin cells. It thereby makes the complete and effective skin care treatment one should give a try.
